The video below describes some of the things that I have researched this summer regarding Multi-modal learning. I also describe the book I would be using and the some of the important concepts that I wish to discover.

The following link is a google hangout where we discussed the book that we chose for our deep play. The hangout allowed us to share how we thought that book related to our classrooms and we also had discussion on how this book related to our ImagineIt project.

Multimodal Learning Professional Development
Objective: Teachers will understand multimodal learning and modify existing learning experiences to allow for multimodal learning experiences.

- Introduction (15 to 30 minutes): Overview of multimodal learning including examples of multimodal projects and resources.
- Quickfire (20 to 30 minutes): Teachers break out into small groups by content area. Choose an existing project and modify it so that it is a multimodal learning experience. The teacher group will create a presentation of their idea using the presentation format of their choice (i.e. powerpoint, video, sketchnote, etc.)
- Presentation (30 to 45 minutes): Groups will present ideas
- Exit Slip (5 to 10 minutes): What is one takeaway that you will implement with your students?
